Labeling the Skeletal System

This project was inspired by my workout project. I wanted to learn more about human anatomy. Since muscles are a lot more complicated, I decided to focus on memorizing major bones in the human body. In this project, I drew and labeled major bones in the human body.

Cranium- Skull
Mandible- Jaw
Clavicle- Collar bone
Scapula- Shoulder blades
Sternum- Middle rib
Humerus- Bicep bone
Ribs
Radius- Forearm bone (thumb side)
Ulna- Forearm bone (Pinky side)
Pelvis- Hip bone
Femur- Thigh bone
Patella- Knee cap
Tibia- Calf bone (Inside)
Fibula- Calf bone (outside)
Cervical Vertebrae- Neck bone/ Upper spine
Thoracic Vertebrae- Middle Spine
Lumbar Vertebrae- Lower Spine
Carpals- Wrist bones
Metacarpals- Lower finger bones
Phalanges- Fingers
Tarsals- Heel/ back area of foot
Metatarsals- Middle foot
Phalanges- Toes
Facts:
-
Humans have 206 bones in their body
-
Babies are born with 300 bones
-
There are 27 bones in each hand and 26 bones in each foot
Learning & Reflections:
-
Learned all the major bones in the body
-
Practiced drawing and labeling
-
Next time have a bigger sheet of paper and cut of excess
