Salmon Hatchery Internship
In my first learning cycle, I interned at the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery. The Salmon Hatchery is run by the organization FISH which stands for Friends of the Issaquah Salmon Hatchery. At this internship, I led tours for kids from preschool to fifth grade. This internship taught me basic facts about marine biology and the impacts of our carbon footprint. I also honed my soft skills through constant communication with adults, teachers, and children.
